'Two McLaren's - Can-Am Champions' Vintage Racing
'Two McLaren's - Can-Am Champions' Vintage Racing Fine Art Print from original painting by Kelly Telfer
McLaren so dominated the 1967-1971 seasons that Can-Am was often called the "Bruce and Denny Show" after the drivers who very often finished 1-2. There was even a 1-2-3 finish at the Michigan International Speedway on September 28, 1969. McLaren 1st, Hulme 2nd, Gurney 3rd. This painting is from the 1969 Can-Am race at Laguna Seca Raceway, in Monterey, California. Bruce McLaren won that day, and I was a spectator in the background at turn 9 at this race!
